It has been as long as 10 years since prof. Maria Roman Sławiński passed away in November, 2014!
我在波兰工作数年之后（2009.10-2014.10），2014年10月受Maria Roman Sławiński教授的信任与邀请，我重返波兰任教。
到波兰后与Maria Roman Sławiński教授的相会，竟然是在其华沙的葬礼上，令人痛惜不已！
It has been ten years since Professor Maria Roman Sławiński passed away!
After working in Poland for some years （2009.10-2014.10）, in October 2014, with the trust and invitation of Professor Sławiński, I returned to teach in Poland.
Arriving in Poland, unexpectedly and unfortunately I met Professor Sławiński at his funeral in Warsaw! Extremely deep sorrow and heartbreaking!
唯一可以告慰的是，Maria Roman Sławiński教授逝世的这十年（2014.11-2024.11），我在受聘的天主教大学人文学院也任教了十年（2014.10-2024.10）。

My only consolation is that during the ten years since Professor Maria Roman Sławiński's death (2014.11-2024.11), I also have taught at the Faculty of Humanities of the Catholic University where I was employed for ten years (2014.10-2024.10).

Maria Roman Sławiński教授，波兰科学院院士，亚洲及太平洋博物馆理事会理事，波兰科学院儒家思想研究中心创始人，科学杂志《亚洲学报》创始人、主编，任职于波兰雅盖隆大学、华沙大学、波兰科学院（社会科学学院和东方研究委员会）。Maria Roman Sławiński教授也是卢布林约翰·保罗二世天主教大学汉学系创办人。
Prof. Maria Roman Sławiński was an academician of the Polish Academy of Sciences(PAS), member of the Council of Museums of Asia and Pacific Area, founder of the Confucian Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences, founder and editor-in-chief of the science journal “Acta Asiatica Varsoviensia”, and served at Uniwersytet Jagielloński, Uniwersytet Warszawski, Polish Academy of Sciences (Faculty of Social Sciences and Oriental Studies Council). Prof. Maria Roman Sławiński also was the founder of the Department of Sinology at Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II.
1931年Maria Roman Sławiński教授出生于波兰南部地区，就读并毕业于当时在德国占领下的地下秘密中学，这个地区所有波兰抵抗人士都被纳粹杀害。从世界最悠久的大学之一、也是波兰第一所大学的克拉科夫雅盖隆大学毕业后，年仅20岁的年轻人赴中国留学，曾在中国人民大学、北京大学、清华大学进修。关于这段历史，他用流利的汉语回忆道：“那个时候很多人都说我是傻瓜，因为刚刚爆发了朝鲜战争，去中国似乎意味着送死。”
Prof. Maria Roman Sławiński was born in southern Poland in 1931. He attended and graduated from an underground secret high school under German occupation at that time. All Polish resisters in this area were killed by the Nazis. After graduating from Uniwersytet Jagielloński (1364-), one of the oldest universities in the world and the first university in Poland, this 20-year-old young man went to China for further study. He studied at Renmin University of China, Peking University and Tsinghua University. Regarding this period of history, he recalled in fluent Chinese: "At that time, many people called me a fool because the Korean War had just broken out, and going to China seemed to die."
清华大学是中国第一所正式接收留学生的大学。1951年最早的留学生班人数为33人，Maria Roman Sławiński教授便在其中。
Tsinghua University is the first in China to accept officially international students. In 1951 there were 33 students in the earliest class for international students, and prof.Roman Sławiński was among them.

在中国进修的6年中，经中国周恩来总理亲自批准，Maria Roman Sławiński教授也在中国建立了自己的中波婚姻家庭。
During his 6 years of education in China, with the approval by Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai personally, prof. Roman Sławiński also established his own Sino-Polish family in China.
Maria Roman Sławiński教授对自己的兴趣定位为“历史考古”。后来，他用流利的汉语解释说：“我研究中国的儒学，主要对当代新儒学有兴趣。不过，我现在主要是研究中国近代史。”
Prof. Roman Sławiński defines his interest as "history and archaeology". Later, he explained in fluent Chinese: "I studied Confucianism of China, and I was mainly interested in contemporary New Confucianism. However, now I focus my study on modern history of China."
Maria Roman Sławiński教授的作品包括160 篇科学论文和13 本著作，例如《台湾史》，《中华人民共和国的成因》等，以及中国经典文学作品和历史著作等的翻译。
Prof. Maria Roman Sławiński’s works include 160 scientific papers and 13 books, such as "History of Taiwan", "The Origination of the People's Republic of China", as well as translations of classic Chinese literature and historical works.
